The search to knowingly become aware of our essential nature and the study of the Law of Attraction are intimately related. Such is logical; for when we discover our true nature, we also learn more about the inner workings of co-creation. Until such time, we are bound to, and by, the creative methods associated with the body-mind (personal) perspective. In short, we cannot use a tool that we don’t realize we possess.
In my opinion, The Master Key System, by Charles F. Haanel, is one of the finest relatively-modern books about the Law of Attraction. The material was originally published in 1912 as twenty-four correspondence lessons, and later published in 1917 as a book. It’s still in print to this day, which tells us something of its enduring value. It includes information about our essential nature and exercises to help us co-create from that perspective. The main point of today’s article relates to the following quote:
“We live in a fathomless sea of plastic mind substance. This substance is ever alive and active. It is sensitive to the highest degree. It takes form according to the mental demand. Thought forms the mold or matrix from which the substance expresses.”Haanel, Charles F. (1917), The Master Key System. Tarcher Perigree Publications
Absolutely vital for the student to understand is that this–this apparent world of effects–is mental in nature. There is nothing physical about it independent of mind. Before you scoff at that piece of information, or scroll past the rest of this article, please know that some of the sharpest minds in science have proclaimed this fact for more than a hundred years. Max Planck, who was a German theoretical physicist and winner of a Nobel Prize for the discovery of energy quanta, stated this: “All matter originates and exists only by virtue of a force. We must assume behind this force the existence of a conscious and intelligent Mind. This Mind is the matrix of all matter.” We can only know our world through consciousness. It is the linchpin of apparent experience.
Although all of the lines from the quote by Haanel are important, the one in bold is pivotal in its potential to transform our life and the results we’re achieving: “It is sensitive to the highest degree.” This means that Infinite Living Mind is affected by the information we’re broadcasting into It via our habitual thoughts, words, beliefs, feelings, and actions. This is easier to understand if we conceptualize the process as a perpetual game of ping pong: Out go your feeling-imbued thoughts; and back come the apparent effects that are in harmony with them. The key is to habitually apply this with conscious awareness.
Am I suggesting that we should “fake it until we make it” as so many Law of Attraction teachers prescribe? No; not at all. There’s one simple reason: “A fake is a fake and recognized as such by Infinite Living Mind.” We must actually “Be” in Consciousness what we desire until it’s almost impossible to discern the difference between the vision in our mind and the reality experienced via the senses. “What is habitually impressed into the mind, with feeling, must be expressed.” That means that we must talk the talk; and walk the walk!
My articles are anecdotal evidence of what I’ve just shared. Due to a longtime desire, I unwaveringly know that ideas for them will come to me; and that the articles will be written through the body-mind mechanism named Art. This article is a good example of the process: Prior to receiving the idea for it, I didn’t know that I’d be writing it. However, I do know my main intention: To help elevate the quality of human experience and, thereby, lessen suffering.
To experience what we desire in life, we must claim it–first–at the core of our Being. Such means that if we desire improved health, we must be health. If we desire greater wealth, we must be wealth. If we desire more success, we must be success. As mentioned in the quote at the beginning of this article, Infinite Living Mind is sensitive to the highest degree. It cannot be fooled! Until we come into harmonious vibration with whatever we desire, we cannot experience it. Now, the question is: What do you desire?”
Dare to dream (and care for one another).
